Hermann Hausbrandt was Captain in the merchant marines and also a multitalented genius. In 1892, he founded his gourmet roasting company Hausbrandt in Trieste. Thats where the history of a city melts with that of a man. Hermann Hausbrandt took advantage of the port to select only the best of the incoming coffee beans, and commissioned the best resident roasters to process them as gently as possible. In the end, the product was the perfect balance of smell and taste: the Hausbrandt coffee. With the consistency of high and proven qualities, the tradition and the good reputation of Hausbrandt from Trieste has been handed down to this day and today it is one of the most famous coffee brands from Italy. If you never tried any Caffe Hausbrand we would recommend Cafe Hausbrandt Nonnetti to start with. Hausbrandt Nonnetti is a selection of 80% best Arabica and 20% best Robusta coffee beans, which are slowly roasted in low temperatures between about 15 minutes in the rotary drum. The result is the unmistakable aroma and bouquet of the original Hausbrandt coffee. This blend is a spicy and very well-tolerated low-acid coffee with an excellent aroma, spicy taste and medium caffeine content. The taste shows it with a slightly nutty aroma and excellent crema.
